The ride to from Oceanside to San Diego was one of the most enjoyable rides to date. The highway was crowded with automobiles, bicycle riders, walkers, surfers and a few dogs. Each day the scenery seems to become more beautiful and the surf changes as well. Perhaps it is the people enjoying themselves on the beaches that added to the charm of the ride. Whatever it was a wonderful ride today.

I rode alongside a former Navy Pilot for three to four miles. We had a delightful conversation about ChildHelp, Isagenix, and his three businesses. A former Pilot from New Jersey hasn’t found too much reason to return to the North East. He loves the San Diego area and the opportunity he has to ride along the Coastal Highway.

I thoroughly enjoyed riding through the small beach cities along the route today. Carlsbad, Enchants, Laguna Beach, Del Mar and then Northern San Diego. It was a pretty special day for me. Mexico here I come!

I am pretty excited about my ride today and didn’t want to stop to take photos. It must be that the end of my ride is in site. My ride terminated 9 miles South of Mission Park in San Diego. I located a reasonably priced motel and spent the night.
