Wonderful Shoulders

The County camp ground was so nice that I made a decision to stay at the same facility this evening after returning from Santa Rosa.

The photo to the right is from the campsite, of Bodega Bay community and beach in the evening.

My ride started from Bodega Bay Road ended 3 miles North of Port Reyes, CA. A beautiful morning with scenwery to match. There are beautiful farms along this portion of th route.

However the fragrance of the ocean has changed, once again, to that of dairy farms, cattle and sheep ranges.. I’m not complaining, you understand, just pointing out the difference in this section of the area.

One thing a cyclist pays attention to is the quality of the shoulders of the road you happen to be riding on. The trip to Point Reyes was wonderful because of the scenery, and the wide shoulders.

Miles for day: 33

Total Miles: 1082

Another view of Bodega Bay from my camp site.

A view of the Pacific Ocean from the front window of my traveling Jeep hotel.

Historical site of 2 Rocks. These two rocks on either side of the photo were significant meeting points for Native American tribes, Spanish land owners, and trappers.
