George Ledbetter, age 72, is riding his bicycle across America (again)
about 2,300 miles - This time to raise money for ChildHelp USA.
To Fort Brag

My ride today started 8 miles South of Laytonville, CA and ended two miles East of Fort Bragg, CA. I opted to continue my ride on Highway 1 and bid Highway 101 goodbye. To much traffic on 101 and it is far removed from the Pacific Ocean.

Kimberly the manager of Leisure Time Camping in Fort Bragg is my Good Samaritan of the day. When she found out that I was riding to raise money for Childhelp she made a contribution toward the cost of camping in her facility.

Leisure Time Camping is well maintained, clean and quiet. It was so nice I stayed there for two nights. Riding through Northern California is anything but flat. The roads are hilly, narrow and winding. They also go through some incredibly beautiful areas.

Miles for day: 46

Total Miles: 917

Update Location: Fort Brag, CA - Map this location

Good Samaritan of the Day: - Thank you!!
