Progress Memo   Cooler temperaures are great, 77 to 86 degrees and a gentle wind to my back was enjoyed on this ride. Started five miles north of Interstate 90 on North Hwy 287. Rode through Townsend, E. Helena to Helena. Sue was able to have a short visit with Anita Kearns, son in law Marc's sister in Townsend a friendly and historic Montana town and farming community with crops, livestock and horses. Sourrounded by hills and mountains reminds us of Eastern Washington. Bill Kearns is sent our best for a speedy return to good health. Crossed over the Missouri River just north of Townsend. The roads were fairly flat through the valley with some hills. Our drive this a.m. from RV Park at Chouteau, MT to start point took us through deer and antelope feeding grounds a thrilling sight at dawn's early light.
